About Fowler Woods
Our History
The Fowler family has been the the forest business for 3 generations, with beginnings in the early 1900's in Winn Parish, Louisiana. Frank and Hester Fowler born in 1893 started the family tradition and the legacy continues today as proud members of the Louisiana Forestry Association. The family now manages property in Union Parish.
Our Process
At Fowler Woods, we take great care in the selection, planting, and nurturing of our trees. Our experts use only the best practices to ensure healthy and thriving trees for years to come.
Pines are widely distributed in the Northern Hemisphere. A Louisiana forest contains other species including hardwoods especially in the bottomlands.
Our Products
Pine timber is the primary business with some hardwood to manage. A Game Biologist advises us on best practices to provide Wildlife diversity.

Fowler Woods has engaged the well known biologist formally with Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries. Larry Savage, to create a forestry and wildlife management plan.
July 2024
With advice from Larry Savage we begin the first stage of changing the landscape of the Farmerville property with a planned thinning along with habitat improvement. More to come.
